Another season has come to a close, and the Peace River Curling Club would like to congratulate all Members on an outstanding year. We would also like thank all the people that have helped over the season in preparing/working our numerous bonspiels, we could not have had the amazing year we did without your help. Thank you.

Be sure to stay tuned in for more information on the upcoming 70th Anniversay Bonspiel that will kick off the 2012/13 season. There are lots of ideas in the works and we are very excited about it. If you have any ideas that you would like to see for our 70th Birthday please let us know by contacting admin@prcurl.ca or by leaving a comment below.

Ladies Bonspiel Sucess This Weekend!

Congratulations to all the teams that participated in this years Ladies Bonspiel. The theme for this year was the letter 'F', there were many teams that came dressed-up for the Saturday Night Social and put on some Fabulous-Fun-Filled-Fantastic Skits!. The Finals are tomorrow and all are welcome to come and cheer on this years finalists.

The Pulpspiels Finals are today at the Peace River Curling Club. All event Semi Final and Finals are today. A lot of great teams have made to Sunday so come down and cheer them on. Results will be posted here later today so stay tuned!

Happy New Year!

The Peace River Curling Club would like to extend a warm Happy New Year to everyone. We hope the new year brings you health and prosperity, as well as more great curling! All leagues are now back in full swing following the holiday break and there are updates coming to leagues that don't have full schedules so keep posted. The new year also brings with it more bonspiels so be sure to check back often to see how/if you can register a team!

Curling Club's Holiday activities.

Be sure to come down to the rink this Friday to check out the Club's Annual Christmas Party and Gift Exchange. Dig out that tacky/ugly sweater your Great Aunt gave you last year to participate in the theme for the Club's Christmas Party. There will be a Gift Exchange as well, you can either buy a gift under $20 for the exchange or grab something in your house you no longer want or want to re-gift to someone else, be creative! The more bells, ribbons and lights the better. Member's of any league are invited as well you can bring your friends.

On Boxing Day be sure to check out the Family Fun day at the rink. Doors will open at 3pm to anyone that would like to come down and play a couple games. Bring your friends and neighbours! At 5pm we will be hosting a potluck dinner for those who want to participate. So please bring a warm dish of some kind to share with everyone.

Members are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to both events for the Food Bank.

PRCurl.ca's internal website now operational!

It has been a long time in the making but the Peace River Curling Website is now fully operational. Be sure to attend the Annual General Meeting on Nov. 29, 7:00PM to get an overview of what is available for each team and each team's login information.

Teams using the internal website have access to:

• League Schedule
• Team Contact Information
• League Standings
• Spare's List Information
• PRCC's Calendar of Events

This will allow teams to check when and who they play next as well as contacting a spare if a team is short players.

Login information will be available for all teams at the AGM and during league play this week Nov. 28 - Dec. 02.

Peace River Curling Club's Annual General Meeting

PRCC's AGM will be held Tueday, November 29 at 7:00pm. The meeting is open to the public and to Members of the club. Topics for the AGM include a new revision of the Club's Bylaws, Board Member resignations, Board Member nominations and voting. Voting of new Board Member can only be done by PRCC Members. If you are able to make it out it would be great to see you all.

Final Dale Bekevich Memorial Open huge success.

Congratulations to all the teams who participated in the last Bekevich Bonspiel this past weekend. We had a great turn out and a lot of fun over the three day event. Thanks to all the hard working indivduals and sponsers that dontated their time and door prizes to make this bonspiel fantastic.

Dale Bekevich Memorial Open Finals

The Semi-finals and Finals for the Dale Bekevich Memorial Open gets underway at 10am tomorrow morning! Lots of exciting curling so far this year and tomorrow should be no exception. Make sure to come out and cheer the curlers on!
